Camera Operator (Metro Vancouver)

Why does this amateur think that, "Experience" is the same as "Monetary Compensation"?

It's not. Monetary compensation pays my rent and buys me dinner... If I am looking for experience I will go to school or LOOK IN THE VOLUNTEERS SECTION OF CRAIGSLIST!!!"

WHAT IS SO HARD ABOUT READING THE TERMS OF POSTING?

Here's some news, jack - If you want to make a pilot, you pitch it first, find investors, maybe work with a production company or broadcaster.

The thing is, I have invested a lot of time in my education, experience and my equipment. If you can't find a producer to invest in your project, why do you think I would want to?

I can pretty much guarantee that if you can't pay your camera and editor then, you will work with amateurs, your product will look amateur, and then no producer will want to touch your project.

Amateur!
